Communication Commitments

The Band will use two avenues for all communications on a consistent basis throughout the year. Those are the aforementioned member portal and through a weekly email. Band members are expected to check these two avenues of information regularly to ensure that they are up-to-date on the information that they need.

Communication Commitments

The success of Charlotte Pride Band depends on the consistent attendance of its members. Members are expected to attend at least 80% of rehearsals in preparation of a concert in order to participate. Participation in a performance after exceeding the number of allowed absences is at the discretion of the Artistic Director and Assistant Director. Absences should be reported 24 hours in advance to Brad Koone, Member Engagement Director, at attendance@charlotteprideband.org

Member Dues

Charlotte Pride Band is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization that relies on member support and fundraising to operate. To help cover the costs of rehearsal space, sheet music, concert production, and other essential expenses, we ask participating members to contribute dues each rehearsal cycle. These dues are considered donations and may be tax-deductible.

Dues Structure

  • $20 per rehearsal cycle

  • $80 for a season (August through December), (January through May), (May through July)

  • Discounted rate of $10 per cycle is available for students, educators, and seniors
    (Use code DISCOUNT16 at checkout)

  • High school students are not required to pay dues

Financial Assistance and Alternatives

We understand that financial hardship can affect any of our members. If you are unable to pay dues in full or by the due date, the following options are available:

  • Set up a monthly payment plan

  • Volunteer on our Personnel or Production Committees in lieu of dues

  • Request a scholarship (awarded on a case-by-case basis and subject to Board approval)

All arrangements are handled confidentially. Please contact:
personnel@charlotteprideband.org

How to Pay

  • Pay by credit or debit card using the link above

  • Bring a personal check to rehearsal and give it to a Board member

You may also sponsor another member's dues. Each $20 sponsorship helps cover one rehearsal cycle for a member experiencing financial difficulty. Thank you for supporting our community.
