Hello Charlotte Pride Band!

THANK YOU so much for those that were able to perform with us for the Equitable Diversity Summit! It was quick and easy! We have now completed our JULY PERFORMANCES! We only have the Charlotte Pride Performances and Parades! This summer/marching season is almost over!

Charlotte Pride Details

  • Attire: Black CPB Shirt, Black/Dark shorts, Black/Dark color shoes

  • Meeting Time: TBA

Rehearsals

  • 8/6 Rehearsal: 3-5pm

  • 8/13 Rehearsal: 4:30-6pm

Rehearsal Notes

  • Word Up- add a repeat between measures 33-37

  • Dont Stop- Start at measure 15

  • Born This Way- No repeats for marching

  • All tunes- add separation after ties and always listen for the melody voices! 

Lizzo In The News

A member has reached out to me about my thoughts about the developing story on Lizzo in the news in regards to a lawsuit from her former tour dancers citing " hostile work environment, sexual harassment and weight shaming, among other allegations." At this time, I feel it is best to let the entire story come out and not rush to judgement. With that, I believe it is in our best interests as a diverse and accepting organization to not perform the music at this time.

Season 14 Concert Band

Rehearsals start back on August 10th on Thursdays from 7-9pm to begin preparing for our September concerts at Festival in the Park and Park Road Baptist Church.
